I was very pleased today to be reminded of a great story from last March. I went to Minneapolis for Spring Break with my friends, and one of them posted a story yesterday that I had totally forgotten about (thanks DVD). I think you'll enjoy it:
"After a trip to the twin cities fellow blogger JT, myself and our good buddy nate kroh were heading home, but before leaving we saw a near by McDonalds and decided to grab a bit. JT ordered and when he flashed his debit card at the teller he said in a condescending tone, "We don't accept debit cards." WHAT!!!! Every food place in America takes a debit card except for the McD's in the cities. JT looked as if his Elton John CD had broke..pissed off dissapointed and let me tell you, you dont want to make the powerhouse mad. The teller said in a snotty voice "There is an ATM right over there." So JT had to get some quick cash to get his breakfast food. Then Nate Kroh ordered and when his food came he must have forgotten to say he wanted his food to go because it was on a tray. So he said he needed that food to go and the cashier handed him a bag and he had to put is in the bag."
So I've been following President Obama's first 100 days with a watchful eye, and I can't believe the things that are going on. For starters, four high profile nominees have withdrawn because of "tax" problems. No wonder Democrats want to raise people's taxes, they won't be hurt by it because they don't even pay them. And isn't it the liberal mantra that the "rich" have to pay their "fair share." I guess, for them, that depends on who's president.
Second, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said today (I believe) that every month "500 million Americans are losing their jobs." Now, obviously the brilliant, sophisticated, scary speaker of the house made an error. But could you imagine if Bush had made such a statement? He would have been accused of not being "in touch" with the Average American worker. It's okay Madam Speaker, I forgive you.
Third, President Obama announced today that companies receiving federal bailout funds have to cap their CEO compensation at $500,000. Wow, there is nothing like good old American freedom right? I shouldn't be surprised though, considering the idea comes also from the guy who stated that "now is not the time for profits." Unbelievable.

JT - You an inspiration to us amateur bloggers. Love your stuff. I, too, am watching the Messiah. He seems to have fallen off the media's white horse. However, tonight CNN's Campbell Brown was gushing over Mrs. Mesiah. She had traveled from the White House to HUD. No bull!
