As I was doing my usual morning web surf, I noticed that today was just one of those days where I just scratch my head and wonder, "What the hell is going on?" Case in point, this headline from the London Times: "India to launch cow urine as soft drink." Another thing that got me thinking was the fact that the mom who gave birth to octuplets a week or two ago (who now has 14 children) set up a website so people can make personal donations to help her out. I'm thinking of sending $5 along with a message that says "Get your tubes tied." I mean come on lady, you can't expect people to scrap together money for you when you were in full control over whether or not you were going to have more kids. I also heard a story today about a reporter from NightLine who asked President Obama on national television, "Why don't you just fire those bank CEO's?" Really? Is that actually a serious question? And people wonder why so many people look toward the internet and talk radio for their news today...Finally, there was a story about how Minnesota officials had to remove 118 cats from this mobile home. However, they ran into one serious obstacle. According to the article, "Another dozen or so cats couldn't be captured because they were hiding in mounds of dolls." So let's get this straight, we can capture 118 cats, but can't move a mound of dolls? Hmm...considering how stupid Minnesota officials can be, there was probably a training course that needed to be completed before the officials could actually lift or touch the dolls. What a world...

Or the couple in Clay County (MN) that are putting their plans on hold for their dream house because their beautiful view would be obstructed by wind turbines that are proposed to be built. Give me a break...Minnesotans pass a 25 percent mandate for alternative energy but don't want the windmills to disrupt their view? Maybe only North Dakotans will put up with windmills for residents of Clay County to have their cake and eat it too.
