Today is Tax Day. There were protests all across the country today--trying to get the government to stop recklessly taxing and spending. Of course the mainstream media picked out the one or two nuts at the rally to try and highlight that these protests were hate filled and mean spirited. But common sense people know better than to listen to those clowns on MSNBC. Interestingly enough, I had a visitor at my door this afternoon. It was some college girl who was working on behalf of some "fair trade, living wage" group or something and she wanted me to sign a thank you note to Sen. Dorgan and Conrad for voting for President Obama's budget. I politely declined and she asked why. I said that I don't support the President's budget goals and priorities. She tried to fool me with the ridicolous statement that "President Obama's budget returns America to a sound financial foundation and would reverse the Bush era spending spree." Really lady, that's the best you got? I politely responded, "I doubt that." She rolled her eyes and moved on to annoy my neighbor. I wish I had this graph to attach to the the thank you note that the lady was trying to get me to sign:
