The TV is ready....

Tomorrow marks the beginning of The Masters. I'm disappointed that ESPN won't start airing the tournament until like 3pm. All the big names tee off early in the morning, so it looks like I'll just have to follow the leaderboard online. If I were a betting man, I'd say Tiger has a good chance of winning (when doesn't he?) Although, god knows I won't be cheering for him. I'm just hoping Mickelson hangs in there to make a run at it on Sunday. Another interesting story is Greg Norman. There has been a lot of hype about him at this years Masters. He said he's just looking to make the cut and hang in there to put on a good show over the weekend. So that'll be the main storyline for the first two days: can the shark play well enough to walk up the 18th fairway on Sunday? I sure hope so.

Do you know if the early rounds will be on the golf channel? Interesting story today in the Bismarck Tribune about how they've made the course harder by making the holes longer. What I can't get over is how narrow the tree-lined fairways are. I get claustrophobia just watching the pros play. Of course, since you've played with me, you know why. I like Army golf -- left, right, left...

Interesting Master's...I'm wondering if the viewership will be down because Tiger wasn't a contender. Can you imagine winning the Master's and finding out that only six people watched it...your family? I think the media is to blame because they blown the Tiger thing into a myth the size of Babe Ruth.
