Back to the blog...

Well it's been a while since my last blog post. I've been busy moving in and getting settled in my new apartment in Bismarck. I've also been busy with work. I had to go to a summer camp for four days last week for work and I can now honestly say I do not regret never getting the opportunity to go to camp as a kid. And of course, I've been super busy with my golf game. Things got off to a rocky start, but now I'm picking things up and am starting to be pretty pleased about my game. It does feel nice though to blog again. So to kick things off again, here are some thoughts about what have been going on.

1.) I've been pleased with the Conan takeover of the Tonight Show. I;ve always enjoyed Conan and it's nice not to have to stay up as late to watch him. Comedian Norm MacDonald was a guest last week and he was sooooo funny. Me and my brother used to always love him and it was good to see him back on the screen.

2.) As I type this blog post, I'm watching King of the Hill. I'm sad there will never be another new episode. It truly is a great show. I chuckle every time Bobby Hill opens his mouth.

3.) I'm really excited for the U.S. Open to start up this Thursday. This year it's at Bethpage which is one of the few public golf courses to host a major championship. The conditions on the course in 2002 were so ridiculous that a lot of the players complained. That's the way a major should be. Players should be pushed to their mental and physical limit. Last time, Sergio Garcia (who is such an ass) got so frustrated with the course and the energetic fans that he actually flipped off the spectators. Let's hope there is an intense final round on Sunday. Wouldn't that make a great father's day?

4.) Speaking of father's day, I have been trying to find a good card for my step dad but just can't seem to come across any cards specifically for step dad's. Why is that?

The answer to No. 4 is because your step-dad (as all parents) would appreciate a card of your own doing. Just find one sheet of colored construction paper and fold it over. Draw a picture of a stick man lying under a shady tree on the cover. Inside write a little poem, such as..."It's the only time of year, when I take the time to say, how much you bring us cheer, now and everyday!" Happy Father's Day! Regards, Jack
