So there have been many thoughts racing through my head the last week or so. Here are some of the more interesting ones:
1.) Jack Nicklaus is the best. He's a class act on and off the course and truly is the best golfer to have played the game. His career stats are out of this world. Just in the major championships, Jack had 18 wins, 19 second place finishes(!), 46 top 3 finishes, and 73 top 10 finishes. That's just in the majors. In 1973, 1974, and 1975 Jack placed in the top ten of every single major tournament played. Absolutely out of this world.
2.) The President gave a little speech today about how much the country needs this new "cap and trade" global warming bill. He used California as an example of a state that has tackled the climate change issue. In an attempt to rebute the many critics of the bill, he stated that California has addressed the issue and has still been able to produce jobs and stay economically productive. Really? California has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country, the biggest state budget deficit, and is on the verge of statewide bankruptcy. And the president cites this state as the national example?
3.) South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is a complete loser. He was one of the leading prospects for the Republican nomination in 2012. He was a very popular governor and spoke out effectively against the so-called "stimulus package." Then it all came crashing down because of his affair with a woman from Argentina. He should relocate there and wave goodbye to any credibility and dignity he has left.

Jake, I like the random thoughts idea, plus your three personal choices. I wish I could create some controversy by disagreeing with you, but once again we are on the same page and singing the same note. If Democrats were truly as bothered by "W" as I am with "P.O.", I feel for them. I can't understand why he feels the need to kill an industry to build another. When it comes to electricity, we need all generation sources. To say otherwise is simply fool-hardy.
