Well, I've hit that part of the semester where going to classes just seems to be this boring routine. Does that say something about the university or just college life in general? I can't complain too much about this semester though. Last semester I had 21 credits and I didn't think I would make it through. This semester is much easier, and should be a good final semester.
I have to be on my A-game tomorrow though. The Elton John and Billy Joel tickets go on sale at 10am. My good buddy DVD informed tonight that he was talking to somebody in Minot who informed him that she heard tickets sold out in 5 minutes somewhere else. I have my TicketMaster account set up so all I have to do is click Buy tomorrow morning. If I don't get tickets, call CNN because I will be on a rampage. Haha
It was a pretty busy political news day. The GOP elected its first African American chairman today, Michael Steele. He ran for the Maryland Senate seat in 2006 and was labeled an "oreo" by his enemies. An oreo because he's "white on the inside, black on the outside." To which he responded that the Civil Rights movement allowed blacks to sit at the diner counter, now he wants blacks to own the entire diner. And for him that requires Republican policies to be put into place. Maybe this means that the Republicans are fulfilling Rev. Lowry's prayer (given at Obama's inaguration) that "white embraces what's right."
I also saw today that Tom Daschle, the former Democratic Majority Leader from South Dakota, is running into some troubles in regards to his nomination for the Secretary of Health and Human Services. It seems Sen. Daschle has a "tax problem." But who the hell cares? When the new Tresury Secretary failed to pay his taxes, the Democrats said no big deal and put him in charge of the nations finances. Great job guys!!
