What a weekend

Wow...it's been a while since my last post. I've been really busy with school, speech judging, and work. I was home last weekend to work and man did I have an experience. Me and my co-workers thought it would be a good idea to go to the Lonesome Dove bar after work on Saturday night. I had never been there before, but let me tell you: if you don't have a cowboy hat on or a tight pair of wranglers, you won't fit in. It was a good bar though. Now, I'm not a big drinker. When I go out (which is rarely) I'll usually have a couple of beers (always dark) and call it quits. Saturday night was no different. I had two Budweiser American Ale's and stopped. My co-workers on the other hand did not. I was nice and stuck with them throughout the night to make sure they got home safe. I had a great time, but I got to sleep at 3:45am and had to get up at 7:10am in order to get to work by 8am. I worked until 2pm and then started the long, boring drive back to GF. It was literally the worst drive of my life. It was Sunday, so there was no good talk radio. I had a couple of CDs, but I got bored with them after a couple cycles. I did make it back just before dark (thank god, because I am terrified of driving in the dark.) I then had to go to Target to get a new pair of winter gloves and was shocked when the lady told me they don't carry them anymore. What!! It was -25 a couple of days ago and now they don't have any. So it looks like my hands will have to suffer until the weather heats up. It was like 30 above today, but I have my doubts that it will last. Maybe I should buy some oil stock and get those wells drilling at full capacity to warm up the planet a bit more. Speaking of stocks: since Obama's election win, the Dow has lost about 3,000 points. Now that's definitely change we can believe in.
